When it comes to jazz guitar strings, people don't often think of using roundwounds. The Thomastik-Infeld Jazz BeBop series however, is really the only set of roundwounds that is allowed to be called a jazz strings set. These hand-crafted guitar strings are made of the same materials as the Jazz Swing series, also by Thomastik-Infeld. Flatwounds have made way for pure nickel roundwounds, and the result is a rich, authentic jazzy tone which is brighter than traditional flatwounds. Properties of the Thomastik-Infeld BB111 Jazz BeBop

The BB111 is a set of so-called extra light strings with gauges ranging from .011 to .047 inches. The G string is not wound. It's an ideal set for when you want strings that are easy to push down, or when you simply want strings that aren't as coarse as the standard ones. The Thomastik-Infeld BB111 Jazz BeBop strings have a pure nickel, double-wound round core which allows each string to resonate optimally in every direction, resulting in a more powerful tone. The thin nickel wire wound around the core ensures the windings are close together for a smoother feel and less finger-noise.
